Lobster diver swallowed whole, but then ejected by whale in US
>A United States commercial lobster diver may not have been named after the biblical figure, Jonah, but their stories are similar, as the man was swallowed whole by a humpback whale on Friday.
And like Jonah, the man escaped alive and well, as he was ejected from inside the whale within less than a minute.
Michael Packard said the bizarre incident occurred off the coast of Provincetown, Massachusetts in the United States.
The lobster diver said on Friday at about 8am, he was 35 feet below the surface at Herring Cove Beach near Provincetown when the whale suddenly swallowed him.
"All of a sudden, I felt this huge shove and next thing I knew it was completely black," Packard told the Cape Cod Times, according to the New York Post.
"I could sense I was moving, and I could feel the whale squeezing with the muscles in his mouth," Packard added.
In explaining that he thought he was going to die, Packard said that all he could think of at the time were his two sons, aged 12 and 15 years.
Packard shared that within 40 seconds, the whale suddenly spat him back out into the ocean.
"My first thought was I can't believe I got out of that situation," he was quoted as saying by the New York Post.
His boating pal, Josiah Mayo, witnessed Packard being ejected by the whale, and later rescued him.
Packard was rushed to hospital, where he was treated for soft tissue damage to his legs, the news report said.
Meanwhile, Director of Humpback Whale Studies at the Centre for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, Jooke Robbins, said the whale may have swallowed Packard accidentally while its mouth was open widely to scoop up small fish.

Moral of the story:
This emphasises that God was the one that kept Jonah whole and allowed the Whale to spit him out unto dry land without any broken bones as the man above, who the whale accidentally swallowed.
God specialises in the impossible

As we continue on the remaining journey of 2022, let’s think for the good of others.
We have our individual aspirations and ambition as well as goals and strategic objectives.
In our pursuit of all these, we must not be selfish; rather we should put others into consideration so that our respective joys will be completed.
Let’s not run purposelessly after post, position, wealth, fame etc and either pull down, destroy or bruise others to get whatever we want.
Let’s cultivate attitudes that will spread goodwill, love and happiness.
May the remaining days of the year 2022 benefit our respective homes.
