CELEBRATE STARTING OVER WITH CHRIST JESUS

Topic: CELEBRATE STARTING OVER WITH CHRIST JESUS

Main Bible Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Starting over is not always easy.
Sometimes starting over means admitting that we made mistakes.
Sometimes it means walking away from things that are no longer helping us grow.
Sometimes it means forgiving people who hurt us.
And sometimes it means forgiving ourselves and allowing God to restore our confidence.
But here is something important we must understand:
Starting over with Christ Jesus is not simply changing your circumstances; it is allowing God to transform your heart.
The world may remind you of your past, but Jesus offers you a future.
People may remember what you did, but God invites you to experience His grace.

Point 1: Celebrate because Christ gives you a new identity
When you accept Jesus Christ, you are no longer defined by your old life.
Your identity is now rooted in Him.
You are not simply your mistakes, your disappointments, your failures or your painful experiences.
You are someone whom God loves and invites into a relationship with Him.
Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) reminds us:
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works..."
Radio encouragement:
Stop introducing yourself by your past.
Stop allowing guilt to become your identity.
Stop believing that you are too damaged for God to use.
You are God's workmanship, and He has a purpose for your life.
Celebrate the fact that Christ gives you a new identity!

Point 2: Celebrate because God's mercy gives you another opportunity
Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV) says:
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
What a wonderful promise!
Every morning reminds us that God is still merciful.
You may have made mistakes yesterday, but yesterday does not have to control today.
God's mercy is not exhausted.
His compassion does not run out.
His faithfulness remains.
Radio encouragement:
Do not spend your entire life punishing yourself for something God is willing to forgive when you sincerely repent.
Receive His forgiveness.
Learn from your experiences.
Get up and move forward.
There is still hope for you!

Point 3: Celebrate because Christ can restore your hope and purpose
Sometimes starting over means discovering that God still has a purpose for your life.
You may have experienced rejection.
You may have lost a job.
You may have experienced a broken marriage or friendship.
You may have failed in an area where you once believed you would succeed.
But your circumstances do not cancel God's ability to work in your life.
Philippians 1:6 (KJV) says:
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
God is still working.
Do not give up because your journey has been difficult.
Do not confuse a difficult season with a finished story.
Radio encouragement:
Your life still has meaning.
Your prayers still matter.
Your service to God still matters.
Your future is worth trusting God for.
Celebrate because Jesus Christ gives you hope and a reason to keep moving forward!

Point 4: Celebrate because you can walk in a new direction with Christ
Starting over requires a decision.
You cannot embrace a new life while deliberately holding on to everything that keeps you tied to your old ways.
Romans 12:2 (KJV) says:
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..."
When Christ gives you a new beginning, you must allow Him to change how you think, speak, behave and live.
This means:
• Choose prayer instead of giving in to despair.
• Choose forgiveness instead of bitterness.
• Choose faith instead of fear.
• Choose obedience instead of compromise.
• Choose God's Word as your guide.

You cannot change everything that happened yesterday, but with God's help you can make godly decisions today.
Walk with Christ.
Trust His Word.
Follow His direction.
And celebrate the new journey!
