'And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive'
(Mark 11:25).
We do not earn salvation by being forgiven, but through the precious blood of Jesus. However, it is an important aspect of our life to forgive others and be forgiven by God.
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6: 14-15).
We sin against God who is the Creator, every day of our lives. Our sins separate us from God and yet we expect Him to forgive us; while we may have disputes with others, some of which are very petty and refuse to forgive. How do we work that one out?
As a result of our unforgiveness, our relationships get broken and cannot be restored, due to pride or apathy.
God sacrifice his Son, Jesus Christ, so He can be forgive us. Therefore, we must think about our sins and how we want God's forgiveness; then think about others who have done us wrong. Isn't it fair to forgive them too?
We must have a willingness to forgive others, just as how we expect our heavenly Father to forgive our trespasses.
Jesus is saying to each of us, if while we are praying and it comes to mind that we have aught against anyone, we must forgive that person in our heart and our heavenly may forgive our trespasses against Him.
If while we are praying and we think about someone who had done us wrong, and we have a reason to complain to God. Instead of complaining about it, we should immediately in our heart ask God to help us to forgive such a person, and do so, even if the person is not present to acknowledge his sin, and ask our pardon. Such an act is well pleasing to God, and we may receive forgiveness from Him through the blood of Christ, and according to the riches of his grace.
Let us like Jesus have a spirit of forgiveness. Examine your heart and see if you need to forgive anyone, who have trespass against you, so that your heavenly Father may forgive your own trespass against Him.
If we do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses
(Mark 11:26).
The Jews rejected Christ as the Messiah, they hated Him because He could see through their hypocrisy, and seek every occasion to kill him. They hung the Son of God upon the Cross in excruciating pain, yet He forgive them. We sin every day and repeatedly place our Saviour on that Cross, yet He has forgiven us too.
Christ died to save us all, that through Him we may be forgiven by our heavenly Father. Why can't we forgive each other and leave all vengeance to Christ?
Be like Christ today, and forgive others as we seek God's forgiveness.
Have a wonderful day

"The good news is that God sent His Son to be born as the Son of David, and He has been perfectly faithful. Therefore, God is able to fulfil in Him all the promises He made to His people.
When God blesses the king, all his people share in the benefits.
This is why Jesus is the Mediator of God’s blessing to us. He is the Mediator in that He is the channel through whom God’s blessings flow. Our ultimate hope of salvation is found only in Jesus and what He has done for us."
